Sandhills Community College closed out the regular season in impressive fashion, earning a pair of home victories over the weekend with a 114–75 win against Mt. Zion Prep on Saturday afternoon followed by a 77–72 Region 10 victory over Camp Community College on Sunday.
Before Saturday's contest, the Flyers honored their eight sophomores — Titus Cunningham, Isaiah Upchurch, Amare Liburd, Randy Dockery, Zack Noel, Kendall Smith, Dominic Kennedy, and Mylon Campbell — in a pregame Sophomore Day ceremony.
Saturday: Sandhills 114, Mt. Zion Prep 75
The Flyers put together one of their most complete performances of the season, shooting 52.1 percent from the field and dominating the glass with a 62–19 rebounding advantage.
Sandhills led 46–35 at halftime before exploding for 68 second-half points to pull away.
Amarie Liburd paced the offense with 17 points and nine rebounds in just 16 minutes of action. Cristian Sias added 14 points on 6-of-8 shooting off the bench, while Titus Cunningham also scored 14 points. Randy Dockery contributed 12 points and five assists, and Kendall Smith finished with 12 points and five assists.
The Flyers' depth was on full display, as 10 players scored and the team assisted on 28 made field goals. Sandhills also controlled the paint with 26 offensive rebounds, creating multiple second-chance opportunities throughout the afternoon.
Sunday: Sandhills 77, Camp Community College 72
In Sunday's regular-season finale and final Region 10 game, the Flyers had to grind out a comeback victory.
Camp led 36–27 at the half, but Sandhills responded with a 50-point second half to secure the five-point win.
Mylon Campbell led the way with 17 points and six rebounds, while Zack Noel recorded another double-double with 10 points and 14 rebounds. Nysheed Williams provided a key lift off the bench with 11 points, and Isaiah Upchurch added 10.
Sandhills finished with 16 offensive rebounds and forced key possessions late to seal the win, closing the regular season on a strong note heading into postseason play.

With the regular season complete, Sandhills now turns its attention to hosting the Region 10 Tournament, set for February 20–22 at The Hangar.
