The Sandhills Community College Flyers delivered a dominant performance on Thursday night, cruising to a 126–45 victory over the Methodist University JV's at home on December 4.
Sandhills set the tone early with a relentless offensive attack, racing out to a 60–27 halftime advantage. The Flyers continued to press the pace in the second half, outscoring Methodist 66–18 over the final 20 minutes to seal the lopsided win.
Balanced scoring and unselfish play highlighted the Flyers' effort, as 10 different players found their way into the scoring column. Kendall Smith led all scorers with a game-high 21 points, shooting an efficient 6-of-8 from the field and knocking down five three-pointers. Titus Cunningham followed closely with 19 points and eight rebounds, while Cristian Sias added 18 points on an impressive 8-of-10 shooting performance. Mylon Campbell chipped in 14 points and a team-high seven assists, and Nysheed Williams contributed 14 points along with four steals to spark the defense.
Sandhills shot an outstanding 59.5% from the field and dished out 29 assists, while also controlling the glass with a 59–18 rebounding advantage. The Flyers' pressure defense forced 15 turnovers and limited Methodist to just 26.3% shooting for the game.
Sandhills will look to carry this momentum into their next matchup when they return to the court on Saturday afternoon, hosting Caldwell Community College and Technical Institute at 3 p.m.
