The Sandhills Community College Flyers delivered their most explosive offensive performance of the season on Wednesday night, rolling to a 140–72 victory over Amandla Academy inside Heins Gymnasium.
Sandhills set the tone early, racing out to a 63–27 halftime advantage behind high-efficiency shooting, active defense, and a relentless transition attack. The Flyers added 77 more points in the second half, finishing the night shooting 53.6% from the field with 32 assists on 52 made baskets.
Sophomore guard Titus Cunningham led a balanced scoring effort with 25 points on 10-of-13 shooting, including four threes in just 15 minutes. Anthony Jones and Randy Dockery each contributed 16 points, while Jones and Amarie Liburd anchored the interior with 10 rebounds apiece. In total, seven Flyers reached double figures as Sandhills forced 28 turnovers and dominated the boards 49–23.
Amandla Academy was led by Corion Marshall's 22 points and seven rebounds, with Lotore Tombe adding 13.
With the win, Sandhills moves to five and two on the season and continues to build momentum heading into a busy stretch at home. The Flyers will host Guilford Tech this Saturday, November 22 at 3:00 p.m., followed by another home matchup on Tuesday, November 25 at 7:00 p.m. against Johnston Community College.
