Flyers Face Tough Conditions in Round Two

The Sandhills Community College Flyers battled through a tough second round at ECU's Cutter Creek Intercollegiate, finishing the day at +23 and sitting at +32 overall heading into Sunday's final round at Cutter Creek Golf Club.

Vegas Melen once again led the way for the Flyers, carding an even-par 72 in Round two to remain the team's top performer through two rounds at 1-under overall. Wyatt Beaver added a solid +4 (76), while the Flyers will look to bounce back collectively after a challenging day on the course.

At the top of the leaderboard, host East Carolina moved into the lead at -6 overall, followed by Campbell (-3) and Elon (+1) after 36 holes.

With one round remaining, the Flyers will aim to finish strong and climb the leaderboard on Sunday.
