Cutter Creek Intercollegiate Underway in Greenville, NC

The Sandhills Community College Flyers wrapped up Round 1 at the Cutter Creek Intercollegiate with a team score of +9, placing 12th overall in a strong Division I field at Cutter Creek Golf Club.

Vegas Melen led the way for the Flyers with an impressive 1-under 71, while William Dement added a solid +1 (73) to give Sandhills a strong front of the lineup. The Flyers showed flashes throughout the round but will look to clean up a few holes heading into Day 2.

At the top of the leaderboard, Elon (-13), Campbell (-12), and East Carolina (-11) set the early pace.

With two rounds still to play, the Flyers will aim to climb the leaderboard as competition resumes tomorrow.
