Flyers Shine at Home Invitational

The Sandhills Community College Flyers delivered a strong performance at their home event, the 2025 Stitch Golf/SCC Flyers Fall Intercollegiate, held at Longleaf Golf & Family Club. Competing against a deep field of NJCAA Division II programs, the Flyers tied for 2nd place with Wallace CC, finishing at +15 overall—just behind tournament champions Methodist University (+7).

Top Individual Performances

Leading the way for Sandhills was Wyatt Beaver, who carded a -1 to finish tied for 2nd place individually. His consistent play across both rounds helped anchor the Flyers' team score.

Also contributing to the team's success were:

• Trace Wallace – Even par (E), tied for 4th
• Vegas Melen – +3, tied for 9th
• Drake Hull – +14, tied for 36th
• Michael Switzer – +14, tied for 36th

Individual Entries Impress

Sandhills also had standout performances from individual entries:

• Sebastian Hannisdahl Haug – Even par (E), tied for 4th
• Robert Reed – +3, tied for 9th
