Flyers Dominant in Day One at Don Scalf

The Sandhills Flyers had a strong performance on day one of the Don Scalf Memorial Golf Tournament, hosted by NC Wesleyan College. The Flyers topped the leaderboard with an impressive team score of 285, 15 strokes ahead of second-place Chowan University (300).

Wyatt Beaver led the individual standings for Sandhills with a 2-under-par performance. Landon Cabingas followed closely behind, tied for second at 1-under, while Connor Lineberry and Vegas Melen both finished even par, tying for fourth. Evan Cowell rounded out the team with a +1 finish, putting Sandhills in a dominant position heading into the second round.
