The Sandhills volleyball team completed an unbeaten regular season in Region X by defeating Davidson County CC 25-11, 25-17 and 25-22 in Lexington Tuesday evening.
The Lady Flyers take an overall record of 22-4, and a 10-0 mark in the conference, into Thursday's 6 p.m. match against Division II Pitt CC, (15-6) at the Hangar. They dropped a 3-1 decision to the Bulldogs in Greenville about two weeks ago.
Coach Alicia Riggan's squad did not lose a single set in regular season conference play. Kaitlyn Lisenby and Paige Garner each recorded seven kills and Tee'Ashia Lilly had six in Tuesday's sweep of the Storm. Erica Groff and Abby Wallace were the leaders in digs with eight apiece. Wallace was also credited with 17 assists.
"The girls were aggressive last night with our serving game," the coach said. "We had 19 aces with Abby leading the way with seven. I am so proud of the girls going 10-0 in conference for first time in school history.
"I told them after the game that was one goal checked off the list they created during pre-season. Now it's on to the next goals."
This week's schedule also includes a doubleheader at home against USC-Salkehatchie at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. on Saturday.
